Job Description- Seek quotations on a variety of goods and services, issue Purchase Orders and expedite delivery.
- Assist in the preparation, and occasionally lead the development, of tender documentation such as Further Competitions, Invitations to Tender and contracts.
- Participate in, and occasionally lead, tender evaluation exercises and prepare tender evaluation reports.
- Assist in the creation of suitable contract records to meet internal and statutory requirements.
- Assist in the management of transactional contract deliverables.
- Supporting the Sourcing Officer & Sourcing Manager in the day to day management of a portfolio of contracts;
- Following the business processes that support the Commercial & Contract Management Team as defined in the NWS Management System.
- Supporting the NDA Collaborative Procurement programme.
- Maintaining an awareness of suppliers and services in order to support the needs of the department.
- Assist in the preparation of procurement strategies.
- Preparing contract documents and records for configuration control and archiving purposes.
- Carry out commercial reporting requirements for internal and external sources.
- Deputise for the Sourcing Officer as required.
- Have knowledge of contract terms and conditions to ensure that contract management can be delivered effectively.
- Achieve individual Performance Objectives set by the Line Manager.
- Identifying job specific training requirements and development needs.

- To assist the Sourcing Manager in establishing contracts and framework agreements, managing contracts and procuring low value services and supplies as required

- To assist the Commercial and Contract Management Team in providing a safe and enjoyable working environment
- To provide workable & effective contract vehicles to the Contract Management Team.

Essential skills, knowledge and qualifications- Good level of GCSEs including Maths and English at Grade C/4 or equivalent
- Knowledge and experience of commercial and procurement processes and contract terms
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
