About the role

To advance our mission for our Geiger Muller Tube product-line, we have a new position for a highly motivated Global OEM Sales Manager to build relationships and drive sales. This strategic sales position will be based in Croydon (UK) and combined with a more supportive OEM sales role of our Photodiode product-line.

Work from home is an option with the expectation that routine presence in our Croydon location will be necessary to build internal relationships as well as develop and continually maintain product knowledge.

The OEM Sales Manager will develop “subject matter expertise” and implement key product specific targeted business plans to generate new business while maintaining, cultivating and expanding existing client relationships . It is anticipated that the post holder will achieve success by developing robust partnerships with integrators and system manufacturers globally

The OEM Sales Manager willbe the customer facing representative of Centronic in the UK and abroad, identify opportunities, respond to RFl's & RFQ's, negotiate and win work, and maintain and grow the company turnover and profitability.

In this role, you will work in the team, triage opportunities, conduct commercial review, prepare tenders or quotes, submit offers, negotiate, review and accept contracts for standard, variant and project works ensuring it is done in a consistent, accurate, timely manner in line with company process and procedures.

You will understand Customer commercial and technical requirements, and translate these into products and services, escalate to appropriate internal technical resource as required. You will also act as the client champion in-house to maintain customer communication and oversight to meet required outcomes.

As part of the role, you will also identify and mitigate safety, environmental, commercial risks to the company and ensure those risks are communicated and escalated appropriately.

Key responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and present a Business Plan for the specifically the GM Tubes product-line to company management on quarterly and annual basis.
  • Communicate with both company as well as Business Unit management by providing contact reports, trip reports, and related analyses.
  • Interact in a professional manner, ensure consistent and timely service levels and support to internal and external Customers.
  • Liaise with Customers to understand their commercial and technical requirements and translate these into a product offering that complies with their demands.
  • Prepare Quotation and/or tender packages in a timely manner to, considering technical requirements, price, delivery, risk, contract terms and conditions to obtain profitable contracts.
  • Ensure timely internal circulation, review and approval of bids and contract review.
  • Ensure contracts entered into by the Company can be satisfied within acceptable profitability and risk levels and that the Company sign off policy is strictly adhered to.
  • Interface with internal stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are communicated and met.
  • Support and maintain a culture that promotes Health and Safety values within the Company.

Required Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience and Skills

  • 5+ years' experience in technical sales in relevant area's combined with at least a 3+ years' experience in business-to-business sales (OEM markets).
  • Experience with managing distribution channels in a global arena.
  • Willingness and ability to travel Internationally (at least 60%) and clean driving license.
  • At minimum a basic proven understanding of radiation physics, as well as radiation safety guidelines and regulations.
  • Basic understanding of business, including familiarity with financial statements.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Customer focused.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across departments and functions. Both internally and externally
  • Communicate with both company as well as Business Unit management by providing contact reports, trip reports, and related analyses.
  • Accurately forecast business and aggressively manage to budgeted expenses for assigned territory.
  • Locate, train and develop channel partnerships to provide additional growth for the product-line globally.
  • Assist with marketing programs aimed at cultivating new business, including the full support of relevant (international) tradeshows.
  • Maintain Client activities using Company’s CRM system.
