Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Mechanical Construction Supervisor to lead night shift operations on a high-profile infrastructure project. The role involves overseeing the installation of large-scale mechanical systems, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality execution in line with engineering specifications and project milestones.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise mechanical erection of turbines, generators, condensers, pumps, and associated systems
  • Coordinate subcontractors and trades to maintain productivity and compliance with safety standards
  • Conduct inspections, walkdowns, and quality checks to verify installation integrity
  • Manage installation documentation, method statements, and risk assessments
  • Ensure alignment, tolerances, and mechanical fit-out meet design and operational requirements
  • Support commissioning readiness and interface with commissioning and QA teams
  • Enforce permit-to-work systems and maintain strong safety culture during night shift operations
  • Provide clear handovers and progress updates to day shift and project management teams

Requirements
  • Proven experience supervising mechanical erection on large industrial or energy projects
  • Strong understanding of rotating equipment, lifting operations, and mechanical systems
  • SMSTS, SSSTS or equivalent supervisory certification preferred
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Willingness to work long-term night shift rotation
  • Familiarity with nuclear safety culture and quality assurance standards is an advantage
