We have an opening for a Civil Engineer who is passionate for drainage design to join one of the UK s leading professionals. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of professionals in aviation, defence, highways, life sciences and industry, nuclear, power, public, and rail sectors.

Their multi-disciplinary design and engineering experience means they can deliver the most sustainable and cost-effective highways and bridge solutions across all areas of their infrastructure portfolio. From concept / feasibility, outline design, tender, detailed design through to construction and remediation, including adoptable and non-adoptable highway & drainage developments.

The role

  • Design foul and surface water drainage systems, earthworks, roads and pavement layouts
  • Own your work on multi-disciplinary design projects from concept to construction
  • Lead packages of work and guide junior staff as you progress
  • Ensure compliance with UK standards (CIRIA 753, Sewers for Scotland, Eurocodes, etc.)
  • Coordinate with architects, MEP, and structures teams to ensure delivery is right-first-time

What you need to succeed

  • A degree in Civil Engineering and working towards CEng MICE
  • The ability to balance technical detail with project-wide thinking
  • Ideally you should have a minimum of 3 years UK experience in a design consultancy.
  • You must have strong skills in MicroDrainage or InfoDrainage & experience in the use of Civils 3D and AutoCAD 2D/3D
  • It s very important to have a strong understanding of S278, S104 and infrastructure agreements
