| Description: | Are you a Systems Engineer, Requirements Manager, or Integration Engineer with a passion for solving complex integration challenges from first principles? Would you like to work on the largest infrastructure project in Europe? Salary: Up to £70,755 package (including 20% flex benefit) This is a unique opportunity to join HS2 and play a key role in a novel, proactive approach to systems integration. You will join a specialist team responsible for defining and managing the functional integration between all major railway systems, ensuring that the operational railway is delivered successfully. As a Functional Integration Engineer, you will act as the bridge between high-level operational concepts and the technical delivery of individual systems by contractors. You will be responsible for modelling cross-system interactions for critical functions like train dispatch, defining how systems such as signalling, telecoms, rolling stock, and the central control system (EMS) must work together to meet the end-users' needs. Your work will be central to identifying integration risks and gaps before they become issues. You will work closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including subject matter experts, operators, and contractor design teams, to develop and manage these functional descriptions throughout the entire project lifecycle, from design through to system-level testing.
