Full teacher training and a recognised teaching qualification will be provided, making this the perfect opportunity for someone looking to leave shift work, shutdowns or site-based engineering while staying connected to the technologies they know and enjoy.
In this role, you'll deliver a combination of practical and classroom-based training across Electronics, Automation and Instrumentation disciplines. You'll teach apprentices and engineering learners topics such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs), automation systems, robotics, embedded systems, electronics, electrical science, process control and instrumentation principles, helping them develop the technical knowledge required for careers within modern engineering industries.
The ideal candidate will come from an Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation, Control Systems or EC&I background, with experience gained in industries such as Nuclear, Power Generation, Manufacturing, Chemical Processing, Industrial Automation or Process Engineering. Previous teaching experience is not required - the college is looking for someone with strong technical knowledge, industry credibility and a passion for developing others.
