Role - Construction Engineer (Electrical)

Location - Reading area

Package - £37-46,000 per annum plus contributory pension scheme, generous holiday entitlement, additional flexible benefits scheme and excellent work/life balance including 9 day working fortnight.

You will be responsible for supervision, verification and report on the delivery of electrical construction works .

You will be required to:

  • Ensure that all electrical construction works are delivered to the design specifications.
  • Undertake a Authorised Person (Electrical) role.
  • Practitioner QC 1/2/3.
  • Maintain accurate records to ensure that the design intent is maintained throughout the construction phase.
  • Undertake all necessary checks to ensure that installed services and equipment can be reasonably and safely maintained.
  • Actively participate in the project hand over process and ensure that appropriate documental evidence is provided to the Construction Manager.

To be successful in this role you should have the following skills:

  • Hold an appropriate qualification in a relevant engineering discipline; ONC/HNC/HND or equivalent.
  • Strong background and technical experience in supervising electrical construction works
  • Able to organise and execute complex construction projects and analyse results.
  • Have a good understanding of Health and Safety.
  • Good communication skills.
  • People and process management skills.
  • Needs a good understanding of HSAWA, CDM, risk assessments, safety systems, safety cases and SSoW.
  • Must have experience on working on regulated construction sites supervising electrical works.

Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role.
