Senior Project Engineer - Mechanical Salary: From £75,000pa Location: Based in Hemel Hempstead, but International travel will be required on a regular basis Benefits: Hybrid working offered, Company Car, Business Class travel Do you want to join a world leading organisation who supply the likes of Airbus, Rolls Royce, and various worldwide Governments and Military Divisions? If you are a UK National by birth, and hold a UK Passport with no travel restrictions, then please read on: Main Duties / Responsibilities - Mechanical Design of Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Acoustic and Structural Systems.
- Create Project Design proposals and associated Cost and Programme costings, VIS specifications, RFQ's/Quotations and estimates.
- Construct a complete Project Design in conjunction with other staff resources.
- Instruct Manufacture/Purchase of Project components.
- Manage and participate in the Assembly, Installation and Commissioning of Test Facilities, Ground Support Equipment worldwide.
- Conceptual design and detail drawing of a layouts and components in a Project, interfacing with other Company and external resources.
- Supplier negotiation and selection, authorising purchase instruction.
- Organisation and control (theoretical and practical / on and off site) of Project product / facility assembly, installation and commissioning.
- Carry out instrument calibration at Test Facilities worldwide.
Key Competencies and Skill Requirement - BSc Hons, MSc Hons, plus MI Mech E or MRAeS, plus Minimum 10 years Industrial Manufacturing Process Experience within a highly regulated industry such as Aeronautical / Aerospace, Oil & Gas, Energy, Nuclear sectors.
- Complete Project Managing experience - from NPI to client handover and follow up support.
- AutoCAD experience - Mechanical Desktop & Inventor
- Knowledge and working understanding of BSI Engineering Standards.
- Statutory Regulation application.
