Copello are recruiting for 2 Category Manager for a defence organisation in the Berkshire area on an initial 12 month contract.
As the Category Manager you will be overseeing engineering spend category providing strategic end to end strategic procurement, ensuring all procurement activity meets the needs for our client.
The Category Manager will be overseeing new and existing category activities, running tenders through to contract award and ongoing supplier relationship management.
The successful Category Manager will require the following skills and experience: - Engineering spend experience (subcontract machining, fabrications , raw materials etc)
- Experience working within a strategic category role implementing strategy
- Public Sector procurement experience (desirable)
- Defence or Nuclear background
- Strong communicator who can liaise with internal stakeholders up to exec level
- Strong SRM experience
This role will require 2/3 days a week onsite in Berkshire. The Category Manager will be offered a competitive rate on an inside IR35 basis.
