Brownlee Cale are working with a Tier One Civil Engineering Contractor to source a Senior Structural Engineer for a 6 month contract. This role will be an office-based position with some travel necessary for site or client visits. Responsibilities: -
Lead and contribute to the design and analysis of civil and structural systems -
Prepare and review calculations, technical specifications, drawings, and design reports. -
Perform structural assessments and integrity checks on existing assets, including load analysis and seismic design where required. -
Liaise with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical, and piping engineers. -
Provide technical support during procurement, fabrication, and construction phases. -
Ensure designs comply with UK standards, industry codes, and client specifications -
Contribute to safety case documentation and design justifications in regulated environments. -
Attend site, client and inspection visits as required -
Mentor junior engineers and support project management in planning and resource allocation. Requirements: - Between 5-10 years of experience in Civil or Structural Engineering
- BEng or equivalent in Civil / Structural Engineering
- Previous experience in sectors such as Oil and Gas or Nuclear
- Previous experience with design software
