Our client, operating within the nuclear sector, is currently seeking two Electrical Technicians for a contract position at Dungeness A. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals with a background in electrical engineering to contribute to a significant project over approximately 12 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Executing electrical installations and maintenance in compliance with industry standards
- Performing initial verification and certification of electrical installations
- Ensuring adherence to IET 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Collaborating with team members to meet project milestones
- Maintaining safety standards and following site-specific procedures
- Conducting routine inspections and testing of electrical systems
- Reporting progress and any issues to the site supervisor
Job Requirements:
- City & Guilds Level 3 Certification in Electrical Engineering
- Level 3 Award in the Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical Installations
- IET 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Qualification
- CSCS or affiliated scheme card for the relevant trade
- Experience in the nuclear sector, specifically NRS (Magnox) sites, preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting
- Good communication skills
Contract Details:
- Approximate duration: 12 months
- Work schedule: 4-day week, 10-hour days
