As an Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Engineering Apprentice at Cavendish Nuclear, you'll combine technical learning with real-world engineering as you help design, build and maintain specialist nuclear facilities. Programme title: Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Engineering Degree Apprenticeship Location: Leicester, GB, LE3 1UF Onsite or Hybrid: OnSite Role ID: 67221 Role overview: This programme offers hands-on experience across the entire engineering lifecycle with six-month rotations through different areas of Cavendish Nuclear, designed to build a well-rounded skillset and help you explore your interests within engineering. Your education/trainingYou will study towards the Nuclear Scientist and Nuclear Engineer Degree Apprenticeship standard through the University of Derby. Academic learning takes place at the Nuclear Skills Academy in Derby and is supported by a network of industry and education partners, including the Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre, the National College for Nuclear, and Derby City Council. The programme is delivered part-time over four years, with three semesters per year in the first three years and two semesters in the final year. It combines off-the-job and on-the-job training as a work-based learning qualification. In your final year, you'll complete an integrated End Point Assessment (EPA) to evaluate readiness for professional practice. By the end, you'll have a degree and nuclear engineering experience. You'll have the chance to build toward professional registration as an Incorporated or Chartered Engineer, supporting progression to more advanced roles. The programme also includes exposure to projects across Cavendish Nuclear and broader opportunities within Babcock's Role Framework for career pathways. What you'll need
