As a Wastewater Modeller, you will manage a diverse range of sewerage-related projects that deliver sustainable benefits to communities and the environment for both public and private sector clients.

Your role
  • Manage the project team and client relationships.
  • Clarify expectations and outcome measures to meet client requirements and deliver successful projects.
  • Support recruitment, staff development, and business growth in new regions.
  • Technical Leadership:
  • Supervise modellers in integrating hydraulic modelling (1D-2D) with engineering aspects.
  • Train modellers to understand engineering constraints and opportunities to ensure realistic model outputs.
  • Review technical work including model build, verification, evaluation, feasibility, optioneering, and outline design.
  • Take accountability for high-standard deliverables by adopting various check/review methods and documentation practices.
  • Influence delivery teams to adopt smarter methods by developing automation tools and ensuring high quality.
  • Liaise with clients on a daily basis.
  • Build strong internal and external client relationships through value addition.
  • Bachelor'S or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources, Environmental Engineering, Geology, or Geography.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in hydraulic design or modelling.
  • Preferably fully chartered or close to undergoing the chartership interview with a recognized institution (e.g., ICE, CIWEM).
  • Technical Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge or experience with tools such as InfoWorks ICM, MapInfo, QGIS, SewerGEMS, HEC-RAS, MicroDrainage, or similar.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Self-motivated, assertive, and capable of working under pressure.
  • Flexible and adaptable to new or challenging work as per business requirements.
