| Description: | Senior Project Engineer Location: Capenhurst Rates: £55-60, contract inside of IR35 As a Senior Project Engineer, you will be an integral part of the project engineering delivery team, responsible for planning, managing, and delivering the technical aspects of projects. Your role will encompass establishing project criteria, coordinating engineering reviews, and ensuring that technical requirements are implemented on time, within budget, and to the required quality and HSSSE standards. You will manage the full scope of engineering activities from supplier selection and evaluation through to the delivery of engineering/design and implementation for selected projects. You will apply a broad generalist understanding of multiple engineering disciplines to manage and coordinate all technical activities within your assigned projects or work packages, ensuring integrated, fit-for-purpose technical solutions. Your remit will include controlling project accuracy, quality, and cost from conception through to completion, often supporting multiple projects or packages within larger programmes. The role requires working within a highly regulated environment, liaising between various business units, group functions, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and integration of processes and technical solutions. You will be responsible for delivering proportionate design engineering solutions compliant with engineering principles, company standards, contract requirements, and relevant legislation. You will coordinate technical developments, resolve design and testing issues, control project expenditures, and support the review and approval of supplier documentation. Reporting on project technical scope, progress, manpower, and risks will be essential, alongside ensuring coordination between design, construction, and manufacturing activities. Quality assurance is a key responsibility, working closely with project and construction managers to meet quality and HSSSE requirements, ensuring timely design and construction reviews, and managing technical resources effectively. You will ensure that contractors and technical teams are suitably qualified and adhere to project quality plans. Your engineering delivery duties will include managing scope, schedule, and cost objectives, integrating engineering disciplines, evaluating design changes, preparing project reports, and escalating resource conflicts. You will also manage interfaces with internal and external stakeholders, build strong relationships, and conduct project interface meetings. Skills:
