Lead EC&I Engineer

Are you an experienced Lead EC&I Engineer looking to lead cutting-edge projects in a regulated industry? My Client is seeking a Lead EC&I Engineer to join their dynamic engineering team.

Role Overview: As Lead EC&I Engineer, you'll be responsible for delivering Electrical, Control & Instrumentation work packages across a range of projects. You'll lead a team of design engineers from concept through to client handover, ensuring technically compliant and cost-effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret design input and deliver fit-for-purpose solutions
• Manage and supervise engineering teams and design deliverables
• Coordinate with other disciplines and ensure compliance with UK H&S legislation
• Produce key technical documentation including schematics, cable schedules, FDS, and O&M manuals
• Support manufacturing, testing, and commissioning processes
• Lead design reviews and HAZOPs
• Implement design change control and contract variations

What We're Looking For:

• HNC (or equivalent) with extensive engineering experience
• Experience in a regulated process industry (Oil & Gas, Chemical, Petrochemical, Nuclear)
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, and MS Office
• Familiarity with IEC 61508 is a plus
• Detail-oriented, innovative, and collaborative mindset
