Ready to Lead 100m+ National Frameworks in a Critical Infrastructure Environment?

If you're a commercially astute leader who thrives on complexity, influence and delivering measurable results - this is your opportunity to step into a role where your strategy directly shapes multi-million-pound performance across the UK.

A leading UK infrastructure and facilities management organisation is seeking a Principal Commercial Manager to take strategic ownership of a nationally significant Nuclear Restoration Services contract within its Complex Facilities division.

This is not a maintenance-level commercial role.
This is senior leadership with real influence.

You'll work remotely, with extensive travel across UK contract sites and regional offices - giving you direct impact where it matters most.

What You'll Be Responsible For

As Principal Commercial Manager, you will:

  • Lead and own the commercial strategy across a high-value framework
  • Ensure governance, legislative and contractual compliance
  • Drive recovery of contractual entitlement and maximise margin
  • Build senior client relationships that support delivery and future growth
  • Oversee CVR, cost planning, budgeting, WIP and financial control
  • Manage bonds, PCGs and governance obligations
  • Support strategic bids and ensure seamless transition into delivery
  • Lead mobilisation of new contracts
  • Shape supply chain strategy and strengthen subcontractor performance
  • Recruit, develop and mentor high-performing teams
  • Proactively prevent, manage and resolve commercial disputes

You won't just manage commercial processes.
You'll define commercial direction.

Who This Role Is Built For

You'll stand out if you:

  • Have delivered commercial strategy on complex service-based contracts
  • Have managed or influenced portfolios exceeding 100m+
  • Bring experience across multi-site, high-compliance environments
  • Hold a Degree or Masters in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or similar
  • Understand UK Government support service frameworks
  • Have deep knowledge of standard forms of contract
  • Are a confident negotiator and senior stakeholder influencer
  • Have strong supply chain management capability
  • Know how to build and lead high-performing teams
  • Are financially rigorous and commercially decisive

If you bring most of this experience - even if not every element - we still encourage you to apply. Development support is available for exceptional talent.

What You'll Gain

This organisation operates long-term, stable contracts - giving you security and the ability to build a lasting career.

You'll benefit from:

  • Competitive salary with annual review potential
  • Clear progression pathways into executive commercial leadership
  • Fully funded leadership and development programmes
  • Minimum 25 days holiday + bank holidays (with option to buy more)
  • Generous pension contributions
  • Flexible and hybrid working options
  • Tailored flexible benefits (insurance, Cycle2Work, gym discounts)
  • Retail and healthcare discount platforms
  • Two paid volunteering days per year
  • Family-friendly policies and inclusive employee networks
