Description: Role: Supply Chain Quality Engineer Location: Hybrid, based from Derby, Manchester or Warrington Salary: £44,625 - £55,125 , dependent on experience + bonus + excellent benefits Our Supply Chain Quality team plays a vital role in ensuring that every supplier supporting our SMR programme meets the highest standards of quality, compliance, and operational readiness. We partner closely with suppliers, engineering teams, manufacturing, EHS and wider supply chain functions to safeguard product integrity and enable a predictable, safe and efficient global supply chain. In this context, we're looking for a Supply Chain Quality Engineer to lead supplier audits, assess compliance against regulatory and quality frameworks, and ensure suppliers are fully approved and continuously assured throughout the supply lifecycle. Reporting into the Supplier Quality Manager, you'll contribute directly to the quality and safety foundations required to deliver our first-of-a-kind SMR and future global fleet.Verify suppliers meet all quality, regulatory and Supplier Management System Requirements (SMSR) before being added to the Approved Vendor List (AVL). Qualifications & Experience A degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing or a related field. Proven experience in supplier assurance, supplier auditing or quality engineering. Strong knowledge of ISO9001 (and ideally ISO19443). Experience with problemsolving tools such as 8D, A3, RCCA or 5Why.Strong communication, reporting and influencing skills. APQP / PPAP experience Experience in supplier development or capability uplift Location & Ways of Working This role can be based from our Derby, Manchester or Warrington offices, with hybrid working and regular travel to supplier sites across the UK.The salary for this role is £44,625 - £55,125 , dependent on the skills, experience and values you bring.
