Rate: 50- 60.00 per hour (DOE)
Hours: 40 hours per week

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Manager to support a major nuclear project based in Cumbria. This is an excellent long-term contract opportunity to join a well-established project team delivering work within a highly regulated environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading quality assurance and compliance activities across the project, ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with client specifications, regulatory requirements, and internal quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all project quality assurance and quality control activities
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and nuclear quality requirements
  • Lead internal and external audits, supplier audits, and surveillance activities
  • Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), corrective actions, and continuous improvement processes
  • Review and approve quality documentation including ITPs, LTQRs, quality plans, and inspection records
  • Liaise with project teams, suppliers, and client representatives to ensure quality expectations are achieved
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of project quality processes and procedures
  • Promote a strong quality and compliance culture across the wider delivery team
Key Requirements:

  • Previous Nuclear / Sellafield experience essential
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualification
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance within highly regulated industries
  • Experience managing audits, NCRs, root cause analysis, and quality investigations
  • Familiarity with Bolster software advantageous
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced project environment
