The Opportunity:

EMBS Engineering is currently recruiting for a CNC Turner to join a precision engineering company located in Northampton, working on a permanent basis.

Our client is a market leading precision engineering, advanced manufacturing business that specialises in machining complex, medium sized components for highly regulated industries including Motorsport, F1 and Automotive.

Due to the nature of the markets our client supplies into, all candidates must be UK residents, and DBS checks will be required. Please note we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.

• Opportunity to work with state-of-the-art machinery
• Hours: Afternoons or Days - Mon - Thurs 2pm - 11pm / Fri 12pm - 8pm (earlier finish on Fridays)

Your responsibilities include:

• Setting and operating and editing multi-axis CNC Turning machines
• Machining complex, metallic, precision components for highly regulated industries such as Automotive, Motorsport, F1, Aerospace etc. within a fast paced environment
• Working from engineering drawings / 3D models

Successful applicants MUST be able to demonstrate:

• Minimum of 5 years experience setting, operating and editing multi axis Turning machines using online controls - Siemens or Fanuc
• Ability to program CNC lathes is preferable but not essential
• Experience running CNC lathes with twin spindle or live tooling would be advantageous
• Ability to work from engineering drawings
• Previous experience of machining complex components, ideally within aerospace, motorsport, nuclear, oil & gas or medical sectors
• Any experience of running CTX, CLX or Hardinge machines would be beneficial but not essential.
