What You'll Be Doing As an Electrical Commissioning Engineer, you'll support the delivery of commissioning activities across a variety of electrical systems, helping to ensure they are safely tested, validated, and prepared for operation. Your responsibilities will include: Developing commissioning documentation, test procedures, and validation plans Planning and executing commissioning activities for electrical systems Carrying out commissioning tests in accordance with approved procedures Reviewing and supporting electrical system designs to ensure efficient commissioning and operability Liaising with project managers, designers, contractors, and commissioning teams Supervising contractor commissioning personnel during testing and commissioning activities Analysing, verifying, and validating commissioning results Producing technical reports and commissioning records Supporting project milestones and commissioning programme delivery Ensuring compliance with nuclear, industrial, environmental, and safety regulations Completing commissioning documentation, test records, and system handover certificates Identifying and resolving technical issues during commissioning activities Technical Exposure Engineers will typically specialise in one of the following areas but will have opportunities to work across multiple disciplines throughout the project: High Voltage (HV) Low Voltage (LV) DC Systems Generator Systems You'll gain experience working across a wide range of electrical systems including: 400kV systems 10kV systems 690VAC systems 400VAC systems 220VDC systems Control and instrumentation voltages What You'll Bring HNC, HND, or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering discipline Strong experience carrying out commissioning, maintenance, testing, operational activities, or fault finding within electrical systems Previous experience working in high-hazard or industrial environments Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Desirable Experience The following would be advantageous: Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering Previous experience within nuclear or highly regulated industries Experience with commissioning and system validation activities Knowledge of electrical system testing and operational readiness programmes What's In It For You?
