Mechanical Process Design Manager

Astute's Nuclear team is partnering with a FTSE 100 organisation that contributes to international defence to recruit a Mechanical Process Design Manager on a 12-month contract, on a remote basis with rare visits to its Plymouth site.

The Mechanical Process Design Manager role comes with an hourly rate between 70 - 87 an hour.

Key skills required for the Mechanical Process Design Manager role

• Experience of designing a mechanical service or process systems.
• Experience of working in a highly regulated industry, strong preference to nuclear.
• Understanding of hydraulic or pressure calculations.
• Understanding of hazard identification and analysis associated with process systems (e.g. HAZID, HAZOP etc)
• BEng/BSc in mechanical engineering or similar degree.
• Line management experience of 3+ direct reports.

• An hourly rate between 70 and 87 per hour
• Inside IR35
• Remote working with occasional site visits (1 in 6 weeks)
• 12 month contract
