Electronics Technician

Astute's Nuclear team is partnering with a specialist provider of electronic engineering solutions for the nuclear industry, to recruit an Electronic Technician based near Lancaster.

The Electronic Technician role is open to all experience levels, so if you're new to electronics, there is training available to teach you the fundamentals. The position provides mentorship and the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging projects both in the workshop and on-site with major nuclear organisations.

Responsibilities and duties of the Electronic Technician role

Reporting to the Group Operations Manager you will:

• Repairing and refurbishing the ageing equipment found in power stations
• Fault finding down to component level
• To build and repair electronic circuit boards
• Some opportunities to design and build test equipment and systems

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

• Ideally strong electronics technical knowledge, including component-level repair
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation accurately
• Analytical and practical problem-solving skills with strategic thinking
• Clear communication skills across oral, written, and diagrammatic formats
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic office equipment

The Electronic Technician role would suit someone who has:

• Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
• Self-motivated with the ability to use own initiative

• Up to 35,000 DOE
• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
• 3pm finish on Friday
• Parking on-site
