The Opportunity We re seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Designer to join our Cheshire-based projects team. You ll be a key player in the design and delivery of complex pharmaceutical sector projects, working alongside a multi-discipline team in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This is a hands-on role requiring autonomy, leadership, and clear communication both with clients and internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities - Lead the design and delivery of electrical systems for pharmaceutical projects
- Develop concept through detailed designs (RIBA Stages 2 4)
- Produce reports, scope of works, layouts, SLDs, earthing diagrams and more
- Conduct site surveys and assess client requirements
- Liaise with clients, equipment suppliers and multi-discipline teams
- Support construction with high-quality technical documentation and drawings
- Seek out and apply innovative engineering and design solutions
- Estimate resources for design activities and contribute to planning
- Work closely with the on-site installation team and attend the office 3 days a week.
- Interface with other disciplines such as Mechanical, Process, HVAC and Civil.
What You ll Need - Minimum 5 years experience in electrical design, ideally in the pharmaceutical sector
- HNC, Degree or equivalent in Electrical/Engineering-related subject
- Proficiency in LV Distribution, Lighting, Fire Safety Systems, Security Systems, Structured Cabling
- Familiar with CDM 2015 regulations and E&I design best practices
- Ability to deliver 2D and 3D design documentation (layouts, routing, SLDs, etc.)
- Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working through all project phases from concept to construction support
