Section Engineer Major Infrastructure Project Plymouth, Devon Permanent Full-Time I m recruiting on behalf of a leading civil engineering contractor for a number of Section Engineers to work on a major infrastructure redevelopment project in Plymouth. This is a long-term, high-security scheme with complex technical delivery ideal for someone who thrives on large-scale, challenging builds. You ll be part of a knowledgeable and collaborative engineering team, supporting the nuclear delivery element of the programme. The role is full-time, site-based, and offers exposure to a wide range of technical challenges and responsibilities. Day-to-day responsibilities: - Accurately setting out works and managing dimensional control across a busy construction site.
- Maintaining and calibrating setting out equipment and ensuring documentation is up to date.
- Producing clear technical sketches and effectively communicating setting-out information to teams on-site.
- Monitoring progress against the programme and supporting project systems relating to time, quality, and quantity targets.
- Working closely with site management and engineering teams to ensure all technical requirements are met.
We re looking for someone with: - A recognised civil engineering qualification (degree, HNC, or equivalent Higher Apprenticeship also considered).
- SSSTS and a valid CSCS card (white PQP or AQP).
- A detail-oriented mindset with proven experience in setting out and dimensional control.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Working towards professional membership (e.g. ICE or IStructE) would be a bonus.
- Must be able to obtain a BPSS clearance
