Senior Structural Engineer

Engineer Structures. Strengthen Nuclear Safety. NRL are recruiting for a Senior Structural Engineer to support the design of critical infrastructure on a major nuclear project. Based in Warrington, this is a 12-month initial contract (inside IR35) - ideal for experienced engineers ready to lead from the front in a regulated environment.

• Design key structural elements - portal frames, crane supports, RC rafts, walls, and slabs
• Guide 3D model development and 2D drawing production with AutoCAD and Revit
• Develop technical specifications and ensure design integrity through all phases
• Collaborate across disciplines to deliver safe, buildable solutions
• Fulfil the Designer role under CDM Regulations

• Deliver and check structural designs to Eurocodes
• Lead by example and mentor junior team members
• Work confidently with steel and reinforced concrete
• Operate effectively in a multi-disciplinary, regulated environment

• A degree in civil/structural engineering (Chartered status preferred)
• Strong experience in steel and RC design - including crane loading
• Proficiency in structural analysis tools (ideally Robot), Revit, and AutoCAD
• Knowledge of CDM and ideally some nuclear or industrial project experience
• Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a growing team
