| Description: | Shift pattern rotating over AM/PM/Nights Independent Forgings and Alloys (IFA), one of the UK s leading independent aerospace and industrial forgers, are currently seeking Skilled Machinists to join our team. In accordance with best practice, our Machinists set up machines and work accurately to customer requirements. Able to read engineering drawings, you ll inspect and check machined components and keep workstation within the parameters of 5S. Where possible, you ll work on two machines in tandem and follow and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). What are we looking for? You ll be a fully skilled machinist, able to work on own initiative and display competence and accuracy in machining processes including work handling and take responsibility for personal health and safety. With a recognised Craft Apprenticeship, you ll be able to use measuring equipment, read engineering drawings and be able to programme, set and operate CNC lathes and vertical borers. More about IFA: We manufacture high-integrity, open-die and closed-die forged components in nickel alloy, titanium, stainless steel and carbon alloys for customers and tier-one suppliers within the aerospace, nuclear, power generation, marine as well as oil and gas sector.
