We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Lead Planner to join our team on the Hinkley Point C project in the nuclear industry. This leadership role will involve overseeing the planning and cost management aspects of the project, supporting the project controls team, and ensuring the on-time and on-budget delivery of the project. The Lead Planner will manage the development of the project schedule, Earned Value Management reporting, and integration of cost and program data, while also liaising with various stakeholders and supporting project performance analysis. - Job Title: Lead Planner - Nuclear Industry

- Contract Length: 12 Months
- Rate: £62 an Hour - Inside IR35
Key Responsibilities: - Update and develop the programme and contract baselines under NEC3, ensuring compliance with all contract terms and ensure contract compliance in programme management, adapting the project schedule to any changing requirements.
- Assess potential issues in the project schedule and resolve them to ensure milestones are met and manage the overall project programme, including the adaptation of the schedule as required by evolving project needs.
- Work closely with the commercial, finance, and planning teams on a day-to-day basis, providing support as required for cost and programme integration and implement cost loading, resource loading, and resource levelling, where applicable, to optimize project execution.
- Produce monthly Earned Value Management reports for the project, providing detailed insights into project performance and ensuring alignment with project goals and liaise with different Package Leads to prepare and update Monthly Performance Reports, ensuring accurate and timely submission.
- Develop, maintain, and manage the project schedule in Primavera, following the Works Information and WBS guidelines.
Skills & Qualifications: - Minimum of 10 years' experience on large-scale projects, with at least 5 years in a senior planning role or planning supervisor position and in-depth understanding and working knowledge of operating under NEC3 contract values.
- Strong commercial understanding, particularly in relation to cost management and reconciliation and ability to work collaboratively within a team, while also leading and mentoring others.
- P6 Expertise: Experience with Primavera P6 scheduling software is highly desirable.
