Mechanical Design Engineer

We are looking for a skilled engineer to join our growing design team and play a key role in developing innovative products, improving existing designs, and managing engineering projects from concept to completion.

• Designing and developing new products using 3D CAD (Autodesk Inventor).
• Improving and updating existing products to meet modern manufacturing standards.
• Working closely with customers, including attending site visits and trade shows.
• Validating designs with engineering calculations and FEA.
• Producing drawings, technical documents, and manuals in line with ISO9001 standards.
• Supporting the CNC machining team to ensure efficient manufacture.
• Building and testing prototypes in-house.
• Providing technical support to colleagues and customers.

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related subject) OR Engineering Apprenticeship route.
• Proven experience in mechanical design and project management.
• Proficient in 3D CAD modelling and 2D drafting (Inventor and Vault preferred).
• Strong knowledge of design for manufacture.
• Able to manage multiple projects at once.
• Excellent communication and IT skills (Microsoft Office, ERP systems).
• Experience in hydraulics or customer-facing engineering roles is an advantage.
