Long-term contract CVRT & Glovebox Projects - Sellafield
We're seeking a Senior Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineer to join the design team delivering critical projects for Sellafield, focused on CVRT systems and glovebox modifications.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced EC&I professional to contribute to nuclear safety and reliability, developing robust design solutions for both new installations and existing plant modifications.
The Role
Working within a multi-disciplinary engineering team, you will:
- Develop and deliver design work packages and design documentation
- Provide technical input for new CVRT systems and existing glovebox modifications
- Ensure compliance with BS 61508 and Safe System of Work requirements
- Support design reviews, verification, and validation activities
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure safe and effective design delivery
What You'll Bring
- Proven experience in EC&I design within the nuclear sector
- Strong understanding of functional safety and BS 61508 compliance
- Previous involvement in CVRT or glovebox projects (desirable)
- Ability to produce clear, high-quality engineering documentation and work packs
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
