Overview Electrical Design Engineer - Nuclear Sector
Location: Derby (Hybrid - 3 days from home)
Salary: Up to £70,000 A leading organisation in the nuclear industry is looking for an Electrical Design Engineer with a strong bias towards Instrumentation & Control to join their team. Responsibilities Design and deliver electrical systems across EC&I, panel design, HVAC, fire detection, and building services Work on high-profile nuclear projects from concept to commissioning Use industry-standard tools: AutoCAD, AMTECH, Dialux, PDMS / Aveva 3D Collaborate with senior engineers and project teams to ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality deliverables Qualifications 5+ years' experience as an Electrical Design Engineer Experience in the nuclear sector preferred Chartered or qualified Electrical Design Engineer advantageous Strong background in control systems, instrumentation, and building services Benefits Salary up to £70k Flexible hybrid working - 3 days from home IT equipment supplied Exposure to major, secure nuclear projects Support with BPSS / SC clearance  |
