About Vantage Data Centers Vantage Data Centers (Vantage) powers, cools, protects, and connects the technology of the world's well-known hyperscalers, cloud providers and large enterprises. Developing and operating across six markets in North America and five markets in Europe, Vantage has evolved data center design in innovative ways to deliver dramatic gains in reliability, efficiency and sustainability in flexible environments that can scale as quickly as the market demands. At Vantage, we run some of the most customizable and scalable data centres in the world, with a meticulous focus on efficiency, operational excellence, reliability, testing and maintenance. Vantage was founded on the principle that modern-day data center design should evolve in innovative ways that lead to dramatic gains in energy efficiency. Years later, we are still leading that charge. It is through our focus on efficiency, collaboration, and operational expertise that our customers and company continue to excel. Energy Department The Energy Department in a data center is responsible for the E2E delivery of power/energy i.e. all the way from energy strategy & acquisition to delivery & operation of energy with strong focus on Sustainability, Continuous Improvement, Innovation & Adhering to NetZero Targets. This department (i) secures & strategize reliable high-voltage (HV) and medium-voltage (MV) power connections from utilities and negotiates energy agreements to support the facility's needs, (ii) deployment of utility connection & power infrastructure, such as substations, cables and backup systems,(iii) finally secures the electricity supply agreements (green / renewables) for a continuous/ non-interrupted supply to our DCs. The department plays a critical role in securing, banking, delivering power for our DC, maintaining uptime, and promoting cost-effective, sustainable power solutions which all supports the overall business growth. Position Overview Vantage is seeking a HV Electrical Engineer (Power & Energy) to support the end-to-end technical aspects of energy infrastructure for data center campuses across EMEA. This role involves reviewing & supporting power infrastructure design and delivery, ensuring alignment with VDC standards, utility/local authority, and customer requirements while supporting wider team to manage key stakeholders, including utilities, energy suppliers, contractors, and consultants, to meet on-time, in-budget power delivery timelines. As the Subject Matter Expert (SME), responsibilities include support in developing conceptual and schematic design, basics of system design/studies, specification development, document review, and EPC contractor management, with a strong focus on commissioning and operational transition.
