Job Title: Senior Engineer Product Configuration & Change Location: Strathclyde, Glasgow City, Glasgow Job Type: Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours Primary Industry: Marine, Manufacturing and Production Secondary Industry: Automotive, Aerospace, Nuclear Job Duties: - Lead product configuration and change management activities
- Develop and implement processes for product configuration control
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product changes are effectively managed
- Analyse and assess the impact of proposed product changes
- Maintain accurate records of product configurations and changes
- Provide technical support and guidance on configuration management
- Participate in product design reviews and engineering change meetings
Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- Proven experience in product configuration and change management
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes
Education: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
Experience: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in product configuration and change management
Knowledge and Skills: - Excellent understanding of product lifecycle management
- Proficiency in configuration management tools and software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Qualifications: - Master's degree in Engineering or related field
- Certification in product configuration management
Working Conditions: - Office-based role with occasional travel to manufacturing sites
- Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
- Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
