Quality Engineer - AWE (Outside IR35)
Location: AWE Site
Rate: 50 per hour (Outside IR35)
Clearance: Must hold current DV Clearance
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to join our team supporting projects at AWE. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role across the full project lifecycle-from initial kick-off through to completion-ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance are achieved throughout.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and acceptance of procedures and documentation in accordance with QC1 requirements.
- Conduct QC inspections in line with approved Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
- Ongoing review and final acceptance of Lifetime Records (LTRs).
- Carry out final release inspections to ensure all quality requirements are met.
- Witness testing activities as required.
- Attend project and quality-related meetings to support delivery and compliance.
Requirements
- Active DV Clearance (mandatory due to project timelines).
- Proven experience in Quality Engineering within complex or regulated environments (nuclear, defence, or similar).
- Strong understanding of quality control documentation, inspection processes, and QC1 compliance.
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
