Location: Suffolk (Hybrid Working Available)
Contract: 12-Month Contract
Rate: 500 per day (PAYE) / 850 per day (Umbrella)

Following the success of Hinkley Point C, Sizewell C is a nuclear new build project based in Suffolk. With planning approval secured and government financial backing, the project has entered the construction phase and is now seeking private investment. Once complete, SZC will deliver reliable, low-carbon electricity to over 6 million homes for 60 years, helping Britain achieve Net Zero by 2050.

We are seeking an experienced Project Controls Manager to join our expanding PMO team and play a key role in ensuring successful delivery of this nationally critical megaproject.



Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of Project Controls professionals within the Delivery Programme.

  • Collaborate with supply chain partners and finance teams to establish annual budgets and report on financial performance.

  • Support the Programme Director with progress reporting, forecasting, variance analysis, and performance improvement initiatives.

  • Oversee the production of accurate weekly and monthly reports, providing insight into progress, costs, and forecasts.

  • Ensure consistent application of Project Controls processes, policies, and standards across the programme.

  • Advise Project Managers and supply chain partners on Project Controls best practices and requirements.



About You

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong professional experience in Project, Programme, or Commercial Management.

  • Deep understanding of governance, strategic planning, risk management, and construction delivery.

  • Proven ability to drive performance improvements across complex programmes.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience.

  • Significant experience managing contractors and consultants in large, regulated construction environments.

  • Experience implementing strategic change through management of complex programmes.

Desirable:

  • Chartered or Fellow status with a relevant professional institution (e.g., APM, ICE, RICS).
