There is a vacancy for Lead Radiotherapy Engineer based in the Radiotherapy Physics Department at the Royal Preston Hospital. You will lead a team of 8 engineers and 2 engineering apprentices and be part of a group which also includes 18 clinical scientists, 12 dosimetrists and a quality manager. Ideally you will be on the register of Clinical Technologists (RCT). Main duties of the jobWe are seeking an experienced, highly skilled and motivated Radiotherapy Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team. The post holder will provide leadership and day-to-day operational management of all aspects of radiotherapy engineering. This will include leading the team of engineers, maintaining oversight of recruitment, staff management and service delivery. The post holder will take overall responsibility for development of the Engineering workforce in line with service requirements and for overseeing their education. The post holder is expected to manage Engineering input in research and development.
