EMBS Engineering is currently working in partnership with a well-established, market-leading advanced manufacturing business located near Lichfield, that specialises in the design & manufacture of complex precision engineering components for highly regulated industries.

Due to recent growth, our client is seeking an experienced Production Engineer to support and enhance operational performance within their engineering team. This role will have a strong focus on CNC programming, process optimisation, and the precision machining of complex components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and refine CNC programs for 3 5 axis machining using CAD/CAM systems.

• Design, update, and manage 3D models and detailed engineering drawings using SolidWorks.

• Analyse and optimise machining strategies to improve efficiency, precision, and cycle times.

• Work in partnership with machinists and quality teams to troubleshoot production issues and achieve tight tolerance requirements.

• Generate clear setup documentation, tooling instructions, and production support paperwork.

• Contribute to continuous improvement activities focused on improving consistency, capacity, and output.

Successful applicants MUST have:

• Previously operated as a Production Engineer / NC Programmer / CNC Programmer / Offline Programmer / Manufacturing Engineer / CAM Engineer within a precision engineering environment.

• Proficiency in CAD CAM programming - creating NC programs and tool paths using various CAD CAM software.

• Strong understanding of machining metals such as aluminium and cast iron, including GD&T.

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
