Role Overview

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Turner / CNC Machinist to join the late-shift team, programming, setting and operating modern CNC lathes with live tooling.

The role focuses on CNC Turning of small-to-medium batch components to fine tolerances, working with challenging materials and complex engineering drawings. Experience with Fanuc-controlled CNC lathes is essential, with CMZ MillTurn experience highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program, set and operate CNC lathes with live tooling
  • Carry out high-precision CNC Turning operations to tight tolerances
  • Machine materials including aluminium, stainless steel, titanium, Inconel and bronze
  • Produce batch sizes typically ranging from 5 to 100 components
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately
  • Maintain high standards of quality and consistency throughout production
  • Communicate effectively with fellow CNC Machinists to support workflow and efficiency

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience as a CNC Turner / CNC Machinist
  • Strong background in CNC Machining and CNC Turning
  • Confident programming, setting and operating CNC lathes
  • Fanuc control experience essential
  • CMZ MillTurn experience desirable
  • CAD/CAM knowledge advantageous but not essential
  • Able to work independently on a late shift
  • Quality-focused with excellent attention to detail

Hours of Work

  • Monday to Thursday: 16 00
  • Up to £20.00 per hour (DOE)
  • 25% late shift premium
  • Overtime paid at x1.5
