Description:

Following the recent award of a new framework, our Manchester based client is looking for a "hands on" proactive Project Controls Manager to join their team.

As Project Controls Manager, you will lead a small team of project controls professionals across a wide spectrum of large-scale programmes spanning airport expansion, rail networks, energy projects, nuclear facilities, and defence initiatives.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee project controls activities including planning, scheduling, cost control, and risk management
  • Collaborate with project teams and clients to develop and maintain project schedules and budgets
  • Provide accurate progress reports, forecasts, and key performance indicators to stakeholders
  • Identify project risks and opportunities, proposing mitigation and contingency measures
  • Lead a team of project controls professionals, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency
  • Support decision-making through detailed analysis of project data and trends
  • Ensure compliance with client requirements, industry standards, and best practices
  • Manage multiple projects across different sectors including airport, rail, energy, nuclear, and defence markets


Job Requirements:

  • Significant experience in project controls within large infrastructure projects
  • Understanding of project scheduling, cost control, risk management, and reporting techniques
  • Experience working in sectors such as airport, energy, nuclear, or rail is highly desirable
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Proficiency with project controls software and tools
  • Ability to work closely with clients and internal teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Relevant degree or professional qualification in project management or a related field
