Principal CE&I Protection Engineer - Hybrid (Sellafield Project) Location: Warrington - 1 day per week on-site, 4 days WFH (with occasional site visits) 56-61/hour Inside IR35
Project: Sellafield Electrical Distribution Network Upgrade - Infrastructure Strategic Alliance
The Opportunity: Join the CE&I design team delivering power systems and protection engineering for a high-profile Sellafield project. You'll play a key role in shaping the Electrical Distribution Network Upgrade through cutting-edge modelling, fault analysis, and protection system design. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain the project's working ETAP model
- Produce and review fault calculations
- Support protection and control system design for 11kV & 400V networks
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality designs
Essential Experience:
- Strong knowledge of BS EN 60909 Fault Calculations
- Skilled in power distribution modelling software
- Hands-on experience with protection and control systems (11kV & 400V)
Desirable Experience:
- Familiarity with Sellafield Design Processes
- Experience with CAD tools such as Trimble, ERACs, Digsilent
- Knowledge of IEC61850 and power systems SCADAs
- Chartered Engineer status, or working towards chartership in a relevant discipline
