Equipment Reliability Engineer

Booth Welsh have a role at Torness Nuclear Power Station, working with our team there on reliability issues

The candidate will be required to have an understanding of Electrical, Mechanical and Instrumentation and understand the basics of equipment reliability.

• Produced Equipment Reliability Reviews, these are used to determine the plants safety functions, plan appropriate actions and highlight any concerns relating to the equipment.
• Provide engineering support to station Engineers to produce documentation, review technical data and improve the reliability of equipment.
• Complete plant walk downs with other engineering disciplines to inspect the condition of the plant and equipment.
• Identification and implementation of changes to the operation and maintenance of the power station,
• Ensuring that risk is managed throughout station processes and that quality is maintained through all aspects of the engineering process,
• Ensure that Single Point Vulnerabilities on site are identified and managed correctly within Internal and Regulatory frameworks.
• Take part in Performance Monitoring and diagnostics of Air/Motor Operated Valves to ensure the smooth and continued reliability of the plant.

As part of Equipment Reliability team, the successful candidate will report directly to and be accountable to the Engineering Group Head on site.

Ideally, the candidate will be vetted and security cleared to work on a Nuclear Power Station, if not, This process will need to be completed prior to starting on site.
