Senior Site Manager Roofing & Cladding Location: Hinkley Point C, Somerset Onsite - Monday - Friday The Project CarmichaelUK is supporting delivery partners at Hinkley Point C (HPC), one of the UK s most complex mega projects. We re recruiting an experienced Senior Site Manager to lead roofing and cladding packages across live, high compliance work fronts, coordinating multiple subcontractors and interfacing with QA, safety and programme teams. Key Responsibilities - Own day to day delivery of roofing & cladding packages (metal roofing systems, composite/secret fix cladding, built up systems, rainscreen, penetrations, flashing details).
- Plan works, set short interval look aheads, sequence activities and manage resources to meet programme and milestones.
- Lead subcontractor coordination: RAMS reviews, permits, access/laydown, cranage, deliveries, logistics and interfaces with adjacent trades.
- Drive H&S excellence: daily briefings/toolbox talks, point of work risk assessments, lifting ops coordination, temporary works compliance and close out of observations.
- Maintain quality: ITPs, hold/witness points, inspections, snag management, as built records, O&M inputs, material traceability and system warranties.
- Commercial awareness: track progress vs. plan, measure and record installed quantities, support change, EWN/CE inputs and subcontract progress meetings.
- Stakeholder management with Construction, Design, Planning, Commercial, Commissioning and Client representatives; resolve issues to keep works moving.
- Reporting: daily diaries, weekly progress, look ahead updates, KPIs and risk/opportunity logs.
About You (Essential) - Proven Senior Site Manager (or Site/Package Manager ready to step up) delivering roofing & cladding packages on large civils/building/industrial projects.
- Strong command of H&S and QA on high assurance sites; able to lead RAMS, permits and inspections confidently.
- Excellent subcontractor leadership, short term planning and coordination skills in a multi contractor environment.
- Competent with site reporting systems and Microsoft 365 (programmes, progress tracking, ITP evidence)
- Right to work in the UK; able to pass site security/vetting.
Desirable - Nuclear/regulated environment experience (HPC, power, process, pharma, defence).
- Temporary works awareness, lifting ops coordination.
- Familiarity with cladding systems QA (air tightness, weather tightness, fire stopping, fixings checks, warranties).
