We are currently recruiting for a Senior Safety Case Consultant on behalf of a leading organisation delivering complex nuclear projects across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded technical team, providing specialist safety case expertise across major programmes and helping to ensure the safe design, operation and decommissioning of nuclear facilities. The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Senior Safety Case Consultant to support the delivery of safety case activities across a diverse portfolio of nuclear projects. Working within multidisciplinary engineering teams, you will develop robust nuclear safety cases, undertake technical safety assessments and provide specialist advice throughout the project lifecycle. You will also support junior consultants and contribute to the continuous improvement of safety case standards and methodologies. Flexible hybrid working is available, with the role based from Warrington, Leicester or Bristol. Key Responsibilities You will develop and deliver nuclear safety case documentation across all phases of the project lifecycle, including PSRs, PCSRs, technical reports, safety justifications and supporting engineering substantiation. You will contribute to hazard identification and risk assessment activities, including HAZID and HAZOP studies, Hazard Management Strategies, radiological safety assessments, dose assessments, risk assessments and ALARP demonstrations. The role will involve providing technical guidance on nuclear safety principles, working closely with engineering, radiological protection and project teams, and helping to ensure safety case deliverables meet programme, budget, quality and regulatory requirements. You will manage assigned safety case work packages, monitor progress, identify technical and programme risks and support the successful delivery of multidisciplinary projects. You will also mentor junior Safety Case Consultants, review technical work, share knowledge and contribute to the continued development of technical capability across the wider team.
