About the Role

We're looking for a Site Manager to join our Project & Programme Services team, contributing to some of the UK's most significant and regulated infrastructure projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven professional who thrives in a high-hazard, highly-regulated environment such as nuclear or similar sectors.

You'll be responsible for overseeing on-site construction activities, coordinating sub-contractors, and ensuring all work is executed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. Working alongside package and logistics managers, you'll play a key role in the successful delivery of complex projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and internal project procedures
  • Support the development and monitoring of key milestones and activity plans
  • Report on progress for daily logs and monthly project reports
  • Oversee cost control and ensure work proceeds to programme and quality requirements
  • Identify and proactively manage risks associated with the work package
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, sub-contractors, and facility teams
  • Manage document distribution and tracking via CDMS
  • Ensure current construction documentation is available to all relevant parties

Requirements

  • HND (or equivalent) in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline
  • Membership of a recognised construction-related professional body
  • Training in Risk Assessment and Health & Safety Management of Subcontractors
  • A1 Assessor certification (desirable)
  • Proven experience working in nuclear licensed sites or similarly regulated high-hazard environments
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams

Working Pattern

You will work a 9-day fortnight with alternating schedules:

  • Week 1: Mon-Thurs (8.25 hrs/day), Fri (8 hrs)
  • Week 2: Mon-Thurs (8.25 hrs/day), Fri off
