Hybrid - 2 days/week on site at AWE (flexible)
60- 62/hr Outside IR35 (pending determination)
SC Cleared (DV Eligible) Nuclear Sector Only

We're expanding our engineering capability and are looking for three Requirements Engineers to join a collaborative, technically challenging project team. You'll be key to ensuring stakeholder needs are effectively captured, analysed, and translated into deliverable technical requirements - shaping the success of mission-critical systems.

About the Role
You'll provide Requirements Engineering expertise to a major One Team programme, supporting the Project Manager and Engineering Task Manager to apply industry-leading Systems Engineering methods and tools.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Eliciting, analysing and managing stakeholder requirements
  • Deriving and verifying system-level requirements using DOORS
  • Supporting architecture development, modelling, and system simulations
  • Writing and managing Use Cases, Test Plans and Verification activities
  • Mentoring team members and contributing to project reviews and governance


What We're Looking For

  • Proven Requirements Capture experience in nuclear projects (essential)
  • Minimum SC Clearance, must be eligible for DV
  • Hands-on DOORS practitioner with 5+ years in government/commercial environments
  • Confident writing Use Cases and conducting modelling & simulation
  • Backgrounds in Requirements Engineering, Systems Engineering, Design or Project Engineering welcome - if you've done requirements capture full-time and enjoy it


Desirable Skills & Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Familiarity with INCOSE SE best practices
  • Use of abstract modelling techniques (Context Diagrams, etc.)
  • Experience in interface design/specification and lifecycle engineering
  • IOSH Managing Safely or similar (training can be provided)
