A leading fire protection services business is on the lookout for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Cumbria. This role is pivotal in managing a long-running Nuclear project, ensuring its profitability and compliance with industry standards.

The Role
As the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you ll:
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for passive fire protection projects, aligning with project specifications.
  • Monitor budgets, track costs, and identify cost-saving opportunities in collaboration with the Operations team.
  • Conduct site visits to assess requirements, evaluate progress, and identify variations.
  • Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotes and negotiate pricing.
  • Prepare interim valuations and maintain comprehensive financial records throughout the project.

You
To be successful in the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor, you ll bring:
  • Relevant experience in quantity surveying or a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes, ideally with NEC Contracts exposure.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
    Proficiency in using quantity surveying tools and software, including Excel.
