The Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced Principal Safety Case Engineer to join a dynamic and forward-thinking team working on some of the UK s most significant engineering programmes. This is a unique opportunity to shape and deliver complex safety strategies that directly impact national infrastructure, energy, and security goals.

The Role

As a senior technical leader, you ll be responsible for managing and delivering safety case and engineering activities, applying your expertise across multi-disciplinary projects and mentoring rising talent within the team.

This role will be based in Multiple U.K locations: South West, North West, Reading Area, Midlands, Scotland

Your duties and responsibilities will be

• Leading the development of hazard management strategies and participating in HAZID/HAZOP studies
• Authoring radiological safety assessments, including safety reports (PSRs, PCSRs, etc.)
• Producing and reviewing calculations, design basis documentation, and technical reports
• Managing delivery through supply chain partners and monitoring performance against cost, risk, and schedule.
• Sharing best practice across projects and providing strategic oversight on safety case arguments.

You will have the following qualifications & experience

• Chartered Engineer status (or actively working toward it)
• Proven experience working on complex, multi-discipline projects within safety case development
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Track record of mentoring or coaching junior engineers
• Engineering degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline
