A leading company in the Facilities Management industry is seeking a BAU Technician in Carlisle. This role is crucial in ensuring operational efficiency and safety within the nuclear sector.

The Role

As the BAU Technician, you ll:
  • Maintain and ensure the readiness of Emergency Deployable equipment for nuclear responses.
  • Conduct fault finding and diagnosis to ensure equipment is operational at all times.
  • Support the training of personnel on equipment handling and maintenance procedures.
  • Participate in configuration and assessment of equipment post-deployment.
  • Comply with health and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

You

To be successful in the role of BAU Technician, you ll bring:
  • Experience working with mechanical or electrical equipment, preferably with plant engines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
  • Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure in emergency situations.
  • A valid LGV Licence and fork-lift truck experience are advantageous but not essential.
