The Estimator will be responsible for: - Preparing detailed and competitive pricing for tenders and budget estimates.
- Collaborating with Bid Managers, Planners, Procurement, and Technical Services to ensure accurate and cost-effective solutions.
- Advising on design options and pricing alternative solutions.
- Coordinating supplier and subcontractor quotations and comparisons.
- Supporting early contractor involvement projects with pricing expertise.
- Ensuring governance procedures and risk assessments are followed throughout the bid process.
The Estimator will have: - Strong knowledge of civil engineering and construction techniques.
- Experience with estimating software and commercial awareness of various contract forms.
- Understanding of procurement legislation and internal governance procedures.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- A collaborative mindset and ability to work across multiple teams.
- A background in sectors such as nuclear, construction, or defence would be highly desirable.
