Astute's Nuclear team is partnering with an engineering business with over 40 years' experience across civil nuclear, defence and nuclear consultancy work to recruit an EC&I Engineer for its Chorley site.

The EC&I Engineer role comes with a salary between 45,000 - 55,000 depending on experience.

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the Principal EC&I Engineer you will:

  • Produce of CE&I design concepts, e.g. (SLD's, BCD's, cable schedules, layouts, etc) and technical specifications.
  • Produce of Commissioning documentation, e.g. FAT and SAT.
  • Attend and witnessing of Commissioning activities.

Produce and maintain quality records




Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

Engineering related qualification (HNC/HND/Beng/Meng)




Personal skills

The EC&I Engineer role would suit someone who has:

Broad experience across design and manufacturing

Design of electrical systems

Low voltage control gear

Ability to create and work from line diagrams.




Salary and benefits of the EC&I Engineer role

A base salary between 45,000 - 55,000 depending on experience.

25 days annual leave + bank holidays
