Description

  • Identify and implement process improvements to optimise manufacturing workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations and reduce inefficiencies.
  • Analyse performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and deliver training programmes to promote continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Support the implementation of lean manufacturing principles across departments.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all improvement projects.
  • Monitor the success of initiatives and adjust strategies as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Act as a key liaison between engineering and manufacturing teams to align improvement goals.

Profile

A successful CI Engineer should have:

  • A strong background in continuous improvement within the engineering and manufacturing sectors.
  • Degree or time served apprenticeship in an Engineering related discipline.
  • Engineering/manufacturing experience in a precision manufacturing environment, to include Lean tools and techniques
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing systems, machining, assembly, test and CNC machine tools.
  • Proven ability with problem solving tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of process related standards.
  • Understanding of CAD tools (SolidWorks, SolidCAM) desirable.
  • Understanding of Mechanical drawings.
  • Nuclear/Defence industry experience and knowledge of Defence standards and accreditations desirable.
